Day #13 – Jelly legs

Phewie. Today’s been quite the whirlwind!

Honestly today wasn’t bad at all. Just a ton of work to do, which ended up all working out okay… after a good while of hard work. Not complaining though!

I did about 50 minutes of exercise for legs and glutes… and let me say it made me feel so tired afterwards!! I could barely walk and look like a somewhat normal human being. Goodness, how sore will I be tomorrow? Oh no… XD

Overall today was quite stressful but also very fun and productive. I’m glad I got my work completed so I won’t have to worry about it tomorrow. I’ll be doing arms tomorrow, which will be delightful 😉 but I’ll stay encouraged because I have y’all to hold me accountable! I’m so glad you guys support me and check my blog to see my new posts. It really motivates me to be healthy and work out even when I don’t want to.

I hope you all had a fantastic start to this amazing week of your lives. Today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #12 – Productive, intense day (and workout)

Aloha my friends! The weekend is officially over (sad, I know), but that also means a new week is about to begin! More chances for you to be better than yesterday and get closer and closer to your goals. Monday’s don’t seem as bad when you look at them like that, do they?

Being Sunday, I decided I needed to basically get my life together before the new week comes about. I did a ton of stuff around my home that I’d been putting off (ahem almost week old unfolded laundry piled on my bedroom floor) along with completing a tiring ab and cardio workout. I pushed myself to my limits today; although I only exercised for about 45 minutes, it was very intense and sweaty (my favorite!).

I’m excited for this week to start. Great things are coming up for me, both known and likely some unexpected goodness, so I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to take advantage of life’s wonders.

I wish you all the best end to your weekend and a terrific start to this first week of December! Today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #11 – Burst of motivation

Hello there and good evening!

I hope you’ve all had a great 1st day of this last month of 2018. Personally, I had a very stressful day today and was not feeling like exercising. I’d actually decided not to about late afternoon; though after relaxing for a few minutes I got a sudden rush of motivation to do so. I’m not sure what inspired it, but I worked out my arms very good tonight! It was amazing having that much energy and determination to work out, especially since I originally wasn’t going to.

I feel like today I learned that if I’m able to work out, I just need to do it; unexpected enthusiasm can come about in the most random of times, so maybe if I start to make more of an effort to do things I may not feel like doing, I’ll get better results. I’m glad I made the choice to exercise today (I also ate very healthy today which made me feel absolutely wonderful afterwards), because I’m now one workout closer to my goal of being a fitter, healthier, and happier me.

I hope you all had a fantastic first half of your weekend and I’ll let you know how tomorrow goes. Today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #10 – 135° degrees

Happy weekend!

Sooo… today also didn’t go to plan. But I’m a very, very good way.

Instead of arm day, I went and tried hot yoga for the first time. It was absolutely amazing! I totally recommend it. It was in a teeny tiny room (like my arms touched the ceiling and I’m not tall tiny), and I was all by myself. There was a TV in there that played the instructions, and it had many options; there were leg workouts, core workouts, and many yoga sesssions. I chose to do a full-body yoga flow that was 25 minutes long. I didn’t know how long I’d make it, as I’d just come from another hot pod thingie (it was a hydration thing at about 105° and you sweat a ton).

I ended up surviving the full half hour and probably could’ve done more, but considering the time (I left about ten minutes ago) and it probably not being super safe to stay inside longer, I went ahead and stopped. The temperature got up to 135° while I was in there, which definitely seems super hot, but honestly it wasn’t as bad as I’d thought it would be. In fact, I loved it. It was by far the most relaxing yoga flow I’ve ever done, which I attribute to the slowly increasing temperature.

TL;DR: I tried hot yoga for the first time and am now obsessed 😉

I feel like I burned quite a good amount of calories between the hydration-sweat-detox pod and the hot yoga, so I think that can pass as my workout for today. Tomorrow I’ll plan on making up arms, as I’m definitely not doing that tonight.

I hope you all have a wonderful start to the weekend! Today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #9 – Leg day fail

Hello and welcome back! Today did not go as planned, but that’s okay. I’ll do better tomorrow 🙂

So basically I’d planned on doing a longish leg workout today (somewhere around 1-1.5 hours, my norm), but when it came time to workout I had no energy and no motivation. I did very high intensity HIIT for about 30 minutes and that’s all I could do.

Even though I wasn’t able to do as much as I’d hoped today, it was a great day. I had so much fun with friends today and I loved hanging out with the people most important to me.

Tomorrow is arm day, and I am promising myself to do better than today. But even with that, today is a magnificent day to be happy! Have a great evening and I’ll speak to you tomorrow.

Day #8 – Rest day magic

Hello and welcome back! Today, I took my very first rest day (no working out) since over a week ago, an let me say it was wonderful.

I didn’t have time to exercise today (sooo busy), but I had a great day overall. Tomorrow I will do leg day and work hard, so that’ll be great!

I think taking a day off from exercising does good for your body. I’m sore from the last few days of intense workouts, so I feel like I might be able to accomplish my goals more effectively if it isn’t as hard to do so.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day and I will see y’all tomorrow! Today is a magnificent day to be happy 🙂

Day #7 – Stressed out

Hello my beautiful friends! I hope you’ve all had an amazing Tuesday.

Today was a good day overall, but honestly? I’m super stressed at the moment.

A lot of stuff is going on right now, which means tons of work and studying. It’s hard, because I don’t have as much time to exercise and do things I normally love and have time to do.

Today I had a large project due that I had to complete last minute, which was very stressful; I feel like I did my best on it, though. Tomorrow is also a big day… :/ we’ll see how it goes.

I did happen to have time for about a 20 minute workout today, which was ab day! I got a good sweat and cardio session going with it, which was quite enjoyable. It wasn’t as intense as I’d normally want, but I didn’t have the time to increase the amount of time spent on it.

Overall I’m pleased with how today went, though I’m feeling anxious about the coming days. Hopefully tomorrow will be even better! It’ll be leg day tomorrow, so hopefully I have plenty of time to complete a really sweaty, heart-racing workout.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day. Today’s a magnificent day to be happy! I will see y’all tomorrow!

Day #6 – Arm day adrenaline

Today I had such a good arm workout! I had a workout buddy and we busted up those biceps, triceps, forearms, and shoulders. It was amazing.

Today was a bit stressful going back to the normal schedule. A lot of new work, projects, just plain ole’ stuff to do were given to me today. I was very busy, but the workout made the day so much better. I could barely lift my arms during dinner!

Overall today was fine. Tomorrow is ab day, and hopefully my workout buddy will be with me again.

Today is a magnificent day to be happy! Have a great day!

Day #5 – Come back, energy

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. The start of the new week means stress, work, and usually a major lack of free time. Especially since this is the week after Thanksgiving break… yikes. Honestly, I’m dreading going back to the grind tomorrow; I would much rather sleep in and relax like the last week, but sadly that isn’t a reasonable option.

Today I went for a long bike ride against extreme winds, which wasn’t the easiest. I had to walk my bike occasionally because of how strong the wind was! With all that came amazing cardio and leg work. After my ride, I came back inside and did about 45 minutes of legs. I pushed through, the I really had no energy. I’m not sure what happened today and yesterday, but I haven’t had much energy to work out. I think I’ve been eating okay; I suppose all the really hard workouts of the past few days are catching up to me.

Even though it’s difficult, I’m still pushing through. I don’t want to give up on this journey that will change my life forever. I definitely didn’t feel like exercising today, but I still did because I and want to give up a happier and healthy future simply out of laziness.

Today was a good end to my autumn break. I spent time with family and friends, was outside in the beautiful weather, and finished up some things on my to-do list. I’m glad that today was productive, although I am still slightly sad about having to get back to normal life tomorrow 😦

Thank you all for keeping me motivated and encouraged, even when I’m dreading working out. I’ll let y’all know tomorrow what workout I did (hopefully arms and cardio). Today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #4 – I have never been so sore

Today has felt like it’s been about 2 semesters long.

Don’t get me wrong, today has been great. I’ve gotten a lot done and I’ve had fun, but for some reason it has felt extremely long.

Today, I did abs and a few minutes of cardio. I was planning on doing some longer HIIT workouts, but I could not make myself do that. I’m so sore, I literally can hardly move my legs or arms. I’m fine with that, but I think I need to do cardio earlier in the week instead of being super sore and trying to do it. But I did a lot of ab work today, and I’m pleased with that!

I’ve focused on relaxing today in preparation for the new week. I’m dreading going back to my normal schedule on Monday, but it simply must be done. Today I’ve felt good; a little discouraged when I couldn’t do my planned cardio but otherwise great.

Today is a magnificent day to be happier than yesterday! Have a great rest of your day!
