Day #113 – Family time is the best time

Hello my lovelies and happy Wednesday! Now halfway through this week, I hope it’s been going good for you and will only get better.

Today, as I’ve been with my family and spending all of my time with them, I decided to take another rest day and take advantage of the time I have to spend with her. I’m also still very sore from the previous few days of working out, so it’s nice to recover.

Day #112 – Rainy rest day

Hello friends and welcome to or back to my blog! I hope you’ve all had a lovely day.

Today I decided to take a rest day, as my muscles have felt so sore and tired that I thought it would be best to relax. It’s hard to not workout when my mind wants to, but my body doesn’t need to. Mindfulness is key to an effective rest day for me!

Tomorrow I have guests arriving and likely won’t be able to work out. That’s okay though, as my body needs to recover a lot after these intense few exercises.

Day #111 – I’ve never been so sore in my life

Aloha my lovelies! Today has been a lovely day to be alive… the birds chirping, the warm weather, and fun times of today have made for a great Monday for me.

I went shopping some today and got a few new items I’m so excited to have. I also spent a lot of time with my family, which was very fun. I’m so glad I’ve had the day off today and been able to just hang out!

Tonight I had one of my best workouts ever. I did lower body for about 2 hours, all very late in the night. I had so much energy for some reason again, and I absolutely loved it! I also did some of the new workouts I found yesterday again. My back muscles, core, and legs are soooo sore though. I literally could hardly move after my workout! I’ve been using this back massager I own to try and release the tension within my muscles. It both hurts and feels amazing at the same time 😂

I am so proud of myself for working so hard on exercising the past several days. I’ll likely take a rest day tomorrow, as I feel that my muscles need a break after all this. Day #110 – Late night energy

Hello friends and welcome to or back to my blog! Today’s been a lovely, relaxing, beautiful, happy, peaceful, overall wonderful day in my life. I hope it’s been that for you as well!

Today I again relaxed in bed for a while before getting up and starting my day. I actually had an extremely productive day cleaning the house and doing a bazillion loads of laundry, even though I had a late start. I’m having guests later this week, so I’ve been preparing for them to come visit. The weather has alternated between sunny, cloudy, super windy, and rainy all day. It’s been cooler outside than yesterday, but still much more mild than last week. Thank goodness!

I had another late night workout tonight. I love having the opportunity to go to bed later during this break and be able to sleep longer in the morning, as I have so much more time to workout in the evenings. I did about an hour and a half of core and cardio workouts, and it was absolutely amazing. I had so much energy, was sweating a ton, and was so tired yet so motivated. I wanted to keep going, but by the time I was nearing the end of my workout I needed to go take my shower and do other tasks. It felt great to be so motivated! I tried a new and exciting style of exercising tonight, and I think that played a large role. I tried some Zumba and dance inspired workout videos, and I absolutely loved it. I’m definitely going to start doing more of those in my daily routine.

Tomorrow I will be doing my lower body. I’m excited to try and mix up my typical routine just as I did today, and hopefully find some new, fun, and fresh workouts to incorporate into leg day. Day #109 – Sore but satisfied

Hello and happy Saturday! I hope you’ve all had a lovely day.

For me, today has been incredibly relaxing and fun. I started out my day by doing almost an hour of flexibly training and yoga, which felt amazing. I also had brunch with my family, and it was so nice to get to spend that extra time with each other. The weather has again been beautifully warm and spring-like, and it’s caused me to get in the mood for summer.

Today I woke up and have been all day extremely sore from yesterday’s leg day. I’m so happy to finally feel sore again, as I feel like my muscles had gotten used to my old routine and it became almost ineffective. I really just love the feeling of being sore; I know that’s weird, but for me it’s great because it makes me feel accomplished.

I did a really good upper body workout today. I didn’t have as long as yesterday to workout, as I did it later tonight, but I did high intensity exercises with my heaviest weights and definitely felt it. I’m hoping to be sore again tomorrow, and to complete another awesome day of exercise focused on my abs!

Day #108 – Time for Break

Aloha friends! Welcome to or back to my blog. I hope today’s been amazing for you!

Today marked the beginning of a pretty long break for me, in which I will have much more free time and the ability to relax. I’m so excited and relieved… the past couple weeks have been insanely stressful, and I’m so glad I have the opportunity to just do nothing for the next few days.

I also got in a fantastic workout today! I did about an hour and a half long leg and glute workout, mostly HIIT style. It was absolutely amazing. I wanted to give up several times throughout the workout, but I pushed through and made it as far as my body would let me. It felt great to exercise so much, as I hadn’t had such an intense workout in about a week.

Tomorrow I’ll plan on doing upper body. I’m ready to sleep, relax, and do nothing now; I feel like I’m on vacation mode! I hope you have a great rest of your day and remember that today is a magnificent day to be happy!

Day #107 – I’m over this

Hello my lovelies! We’re getting so close to Friday, thank goodness! I’m sooo over this week and I desperately need the weekend. Don’t we all?!

Today’s been a pretty good day, though also stressful and kind of boring. I’m just feeling unmotivated and absolutely done with anything related to work at the moment. I’m just counting down the hours until I get home and the weekend starts!

Today I spent most of the evening with my best friend and got to go for a long bike ride. It was so fun to exercise and spend time together! My legs were working hard and I’m pretty sure I’ll be feeling this tomorrow, especially since I had to pedal around with a flat tire for most of the ride…

Tomorrow, if I have the time, I’ll plan on likely doing leg day. If I’m super sore, then I’ll do arms… I’ll just play it by ear.

Day #106 – Loooooong week

Hello and happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week… only two more work days to go! Thank goodness; I need a break.

Today has been slightly warmer, which was lovely. The weather seemed to put many people in a great mood, and overall today was a fairly positive experience. I was feeling much better, though not 100%, and went to my plans this evening. It was great to get back out today and return to my friends, though I’m sooo ready for the weekend. It’s been such a long week already!

Day #105 – Taking a sick day

Today I woke up feeling really bad. I made the choice to take the day off to stay home and relax, which has helped me to feel progressively better throughout the day. I definitely didn’t workout, as I wasn’t feeling up to it at all.

Tomorrow I know that I won’t be able to exercise, as I have my typical plans in the evening. I’m hoping that I’ll feel much better then and be able to carry on as normal!

Day #104 – Time for Friday

Hello my lovelies and happy Monday! I hope today’s served you well, and that this week started off great for you.

Today’s been a lovely but extremely cold day. I started to feel unwell this afternoon with a seating pain in my throat, though it went away soon afterwards. I’m hoping that it won’t come back tomorrow worse! Because of this, I only did a few minutes of cardio and plenty of yoga. I feel like yoga has become my go-to for a low intensity way to be active.

As long as I feel well tomorrow, I will plan on doing leg day. My knees have been bothering me a lot lately, as they keep unpleasantly hyperextending and bending backwards. It isn’t very fun.
