Happy Thursday! I hope you’ve all had a great, happy day.
Honestly, today started out very stressfully. A lot of work was given to me to do this before tomorrow, and I was feeling quite anxious. I naturally tend to overthink things and overwhelm myself, and I totally did that this morning. I almost wanted to cry, I was so stressed out. But I tried to take my mind off of everything and knock some tasks off my to-do list; this afternoon ended up being extremely fun and hilarious. I had a good day overall, even though I’m still kinda thinking about everything I have to do tomorrow.
I feel like today I practiced mindfulness quite often when I was feeling anxious; I tried to calm myself down, and after focusing on that for a while, I was able to relax and live today to the fullest. I need to make the conscious effort more often to be mindful and take breaks from what’s stressing me out, since as I saw today it greatly affected my mood (in a positive way).
I went for another run today with my family, and I loved it. I didn’t run as far, as my knees hurt quite badly and I didn’t want to push myself too hard while still getting back into running. I didn’t do any strength training either, as I simply didn’t have the time. I was slightly disappointed, but I’ll plan on making it up on Saturday (tomorrow I have plans all night).
